Do pathological liars subconsciously feel those who believe them are inferior?

I think the pathological liar has a distorted idea of what everyone else understanding is. You know they have to keep up different stories with different people, and therefore probably decide whether that person will accept the lie(s). I guess the only answer is yes they must believe we are dumb enough to believe them.
