Question about engine in a Houseboat?

I have seen radiators used but the heat in the boat is over welling Dry stack exhaust use also. Not a good marine install.Since it's a house boat if not a planing hull Y so much HP to go so slow. Going to the small blocks they are lighter use less gas. But have less torque if the boat comes up on a plane.
