Why do I have with my good friend in my dreams?

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost eight years and one of his friends and I have become really good friends. I know that my friend is actually a bad boyfriend and I know for a fact that I would never want to date him, but as friends we get along really well. Also, he's not bad looking and in the past he has very subtly alluded to being intimate with me. Ugh! Does that mean I want to have with him?! Consciously I know I don't, but sub-consciously is it a different story? I mean it has happened like in eight or nine different dreams. In my dream, his personality is different, but it still looks like him.
